Labor Day in Sun River

We spent Labor Day weekend in Sun River with Grammie & Grr.  We had a fabulous house that we enjoyed, complete with local wildlife (the deer below) wandering around.

We enjoyed some time on the bikes.  Heidi has not yet embraced the Chariot as well as we would like but she did okay.  Allison rode her tag along and then we took the training wheels off her bike.  In her case her confidence is quite a bit lower than her capability - so we'll keep working on riding without training wheels.

Mom & I took Allison to the North Pool both of the full days we were there.  It was perfect weather and not too crowded.  Allison loved it and I enjoyed getting to see how much more comfortable she is in the water after swim lessons this summer.

 The swimming wore her out!

The house we stayed in was within walking distance to the park so we went up several times, especially since there was a festival going on while we were there.  Allison & Grammie played hide & seek with sticks and Heidi worked on her crawling skills.

Our biggest lesson of the trip was that it is a bad idea to try to drive back from central Oregon on Labor Day.  It was a rather long drive so we took a break at the Lava Lake snow park and I managed to get some pictures of the girls with Grammie & Grr.
