It has been a long time since I last downloaded pics from my phone. So here is 2 months worth of snapshots!
Our strawberry plants were producing more berries in the fall than spring - we had strawberry waffles once a week all the way through September and even into October. Even with Heidi eating every berry she could get her hands on!
This was Allison's first homework assignment. Thankfully she hasn't had many since (other than reading practice) because this one just about killed me! Something about giving kindergartners 'homework' that the parents pretty much have to do for them is crazy to me!
My first day dropping her off - she was so excited to show me how!
Allison is learning all about perler beads in her all day program. This was her first creation - she is now following patterns and coming up with more complex designs! We had to take a picture to send to Auntie Brittney since she loves these, too!
Heidi-bug and her buddy, Gracie playing at a birthday party - these two are very cute together. Until Heidi got stuck and kept walking into a beam while trying to get out!
Allison and Annie making their 'Olaf' statues out of marshmallows (these were the party favors from Annie's birthday party!)
Mark and Nate - bike shopping....for my Dad, of course! :)
One of our local grocery stores makes beaver themed baked treats in the fall for football season. I couldn't pass up on these. The girls might have enjoyed them!
We really don't talk on the phone much (at least I don't) but it seems that Heidi thinks that is the primary purpose of our phones. She takes it and 'calls' someone, holding a 1-sided conversation. It is pretty cute!
Jodi convinced me to buy that hat when we were shopping. So glad she did - this girl loves her hats - and she's awfully cute in them!
At Uncle Tills' team's soccer game!
Allison has been coming into 'big church' with us this fall about every other week. On the weeks she does we get to go out to breakfast to school, just the two of us and talk about what we learned.
Heidi has taken to throwing silent tantrums. It is unusual. But I'm not going to complain!
Checkin' out the baby chicks!
Love this girl in her shades! She likes to wear them in the car and has gotten pretty good at putting them on by herself!
Allison designed a quilt for baby Emily. More on that to come!
When Miss Leslie was here we stopped in at Davis Family Farm again to pick up more donuts and other farm goods. It was a rough job to get donuts....but someone had to do it!
Heidi loves her Miss Leslie!
We did pictures with Emma - and then got dinner together afterwards! These two crack us up!
Heidi in her super sweet outfit that Mrs. Eller sent her when she was born!
A fabulous fall walk with my favorite walking buddy - in her kitty hat!
Heidi was quite the tornado at Nana Carol's house! So she & I went for a walk while Allison played I Spy with Nana Carol.
The girls & I at Nana Carol's apple orchard.
Nothing cuter than a headband & pigtails. And tongue sticking out!
Wearing the sweater Grammy made for her!
We have a newer local quilt shop in Albany and when I bring Allison in with me she usually gets to pick out a fat quarter to use in her projects. This time I bought one AND the owners gave her one for her 'trick-or-treat.' They SPOIL her rotten! Today when we were in she asked about their coloring books and they couldn't find them so the put them on their list to buy. And then loaded her up with a bead necklace, lollipop & Snickers bar. And that black & orange football quilt in the background? I have the pattern....now just need to find the time to make one - maybe I can actually make Mark a quilt after we've been married for nearly 10 years :).
Last weekend Jodi & I took the girls to see the Cinderella Ballet. Allison loved every minute of it. She was totally captivated the entire time! We grabbed lunch at a fancy french restaurant beforehand - what a special girls day!
And last but not least - Heidi is starting to take to dressing up! This week it was the purple tu-tu and her borrowed cow costume. Sadly she caught some sort of bug mid-week so on Halloween she was not in a mood to dress up!
We had a very fun Halloween - nothing too exciting, just gathered with friends for chili, goodies, crafts & games. Our girls weren't so into their dress-up costumes but some of the other kids were! And Lauren - well this girl has a sweet tooth and it is definitely the job of an Aunt to feed it, right!?!?!
Finally, today we took Allison to get a haircut. Mark was doing maintenance on our cars so I had both girls with me - Heidi did great waiting for Allison. And was very fascinated by the process. Sadly I don't think she'll have enough hair of her own for a haircut anytime soon!
