It is hard to believe that it was almost five years ago that this little girl joined our family. We love seeing the little girl she is becoming. She is super excited about turning five - she's hit some big milestones recently (riding a bike, swimming) and has some other big ones she can't wait for (kindergarten, piano lessons) - it seems like there is so much going on for her.
She certainly is spunky but she also is one of the kindest little girls you'd ever meet. Just this morning Mark & I were commenting on how thankful she is so good at sharing because her sister, ahem, is not. Allison overheard us and told us that it would make Heidi sad if she heard that. Talk about a guilt trip (although we were admitting to ourselves we need to not give Heidi everything she 'asks' for so it wasn't as bad as Allison made it sound).
And one of the best parts of the past year? This girl loves people! And she has the confidence to go up and make friends with just about everyone. Of course this means we'll continue with coaching on healthy boundaries but we're glad to see her love for people.
So, little girl, enjoy your birthday week! We have not doubt you will!
