Fancy Nancy

Allison & I went to Portland yesterday with her friend, Emily, from Sunday School (and Emily's Mom) to see the Fancy Nancy show (put on by Oregon Children's Theater).  We were there plenty early so the girls were able to make their own tiaras before the show.  They worked hard on their masterpieces.

The performance was very well done, we were really impressed and both of these girls were captivated through the entire show.
Afterwards the girls really wanted to meet the cast but the line was really long so we took a break and got a 'Fancy Nancy' themed cupcake from the little cafe, it was definitely a fancy cupcake.  And Allison ate almost all of hers.

Eventually the line died down enough we decided to give it a try.  The girls were thrilled to meet the cast and because we were at the end of the line we could take our time (and take pictures!).  We can't wait for next year!  And, I'm pretty proud of myself as Emily announced it was 'THE BEST DAY EVER!' and can't wait to go back.  She also was adamant to tell anyone who asked that there were real humans at the show (she had no idea what to expect - we think she was perhaps expecting more of a movie).
