Jodi had the idea that we take the girls roller skating on our annual post-Christmas shopping trip. As it worked out we had so much fun skating we had no time for shopping....guess we'll fit that in another time! Both Allison & Bekah were nervous about skating at first and we had to tell them to bend their knees and keep their weight forward many times....and they loved it by the end! Jodi did a bulk of the hard work - skating backwards so they could practice leaning forwards. I finally realized Allison actually did better skating faster than trying to go slow (easier to stay balanced). It was a really fun day - we can't wait to do it again. Especially after the huge frozen yogurts the girls got when they were done!!
