October in Alaska

Heidi and I took a trip to Alaska to meet the newest member of the Kroon family - Baby Hazel.  We had so much fun spending time with Hazel as well as getting to enjoy some Alaskan Fall.

Heidi loved meeting Hazel.  And they both had matching 'Hazel' skirts (made with a fabric line called 'Hazel')

On Friday afternoon we went for a walk with Grammy, Auntie Hannah and Baby Hazel.  Grammy convinced Heidi to take a picture up on the hay bales....then she owed her a hot chocolate from Starbucks!

Heidi got to help Uncle Keet moving some wood.  It was a tough job :)

Then she made a giraffe mask with Auntie Britt - wearing the dress Auntie Britt bought for her at Target (after her hot chocolate) - you can say she was a little spoiled on this trip!

We had breakfast with the Mosiers Saturday morning before heading to the Fall Festival at the Reindeer Farm.  Stephanie eventually warmed up to me - after she realized I was there to hand out, not babysit.

The Fall Festival was fun, but cold.  Heidi was very cold, tired and hungry by the time we were done - but she insisted on doing the different bouncy houses (without shoes!).  She waited inline for what felt like forever to ride a mechanical fish - but then chickened out.  So I had to!

We always love a chance to see Big Heidi!
Sunday morning we woke up to just a dusting of snow.  Heidi had fun wandering around in it!

We flew home on Monday morning - bringing her Sunday School quail with her! :)

It was a fun, whirlwind of a trip!!
