We got the girls outside every day we were in Alaska - even when it was COLD. There actually wasn't snow on the trees on this day - it was all frost and it was beautiful! These girls liked sledding in Uncle Keeton & Auntie Hannah's backyard....especially with Adak there to play, too!

Our Lil' Snowflake
Heidi was SUPER excited to have her own 'Big Ballet' this year. She was a snowflake and danced to 'Let it Snow' which she now considers her song. We loved watching her (and her entire class) but unfortunately we were sitting in the back and the lighting was low so the picture quality was low.
Curls!
The girls love having me put foam curlers in their hair after a bath. It should be noted, however, that the yellow ones are a little too small for Heidi (or anyone most likely!). We all got a kick out of how her hair turned out....but admittedly she was a bit self conscious about it so we felt bad laughing. Thankfully she forgave us!
Now, when I use the right size rollers on her hair it ends up looking pretty amazing...and all the teachers at school gush about it and think she is a different kid. So she asks for curlers now every day regardless of whether she's had a bath! :)
Thanksgiving 2016
We started our Thanksgiving this year our favorite way....with the Turkey Trot. Mark has decided next year Allison needs to graduate to the 5K. And both Mark and I risked our lives trying to run with our girls in the Little Gobblers 1K....between little kids, dogs on leashes and parents trying to film their children we were dodging all kinds of chaos!
Mark's family and our good friends the Carpenters (visiting from Texas!) came over for Thanksgiving dinner. The kids spent the entire time building elaborate train tracks!
My photo booth props were forgotten about until after everyone left. The girls still had fun with them, though!
Heidi was thankful for her 'pink bunny from Christmas' - note it is actually a small stuffed pink bear that was given to her when she was born....we aren't good at remembering details yet! :)
Heidi Antics!
Our little Heidi-bug definitely keeps us on our toes around here! When she naps at school it can take her FOREVER to fall asleep some nights.....one night we caught her outside of the bathroom - sound asleep on the floor!
She has a sweet tooth....at least she's good about going to the dentist. So she can watch the Frozen Movie. She doesn't like the 'tooth brushing thing' (thank you for a dentist with movies running for each chair!!)
And....when she doesn't nap at school occasionally she'll fall asleep on one of us!
I don't even have words.....
