Central Oregon

We had a really fun weekend in Bend with our friends, the Bronson's.  Our kids all had a fabulous time playing and running and jumping around together.  Heidi got a piece of zucchini bread at the Sister's Coffee shop.
Emma was out running errands on Saturday afternoon so Zeke and Allison played together and they were so cute.  Zeke would follow Allison around and help her with whatever she asked or needed.  She loved having so much attention!
Allison & Emma worked hard on paper dolls on Sunday morning.

These kiddos are CrAzY and we love every bit of craziness in them!

Allison's Introduction to Skiing

We headed to Bend this weekend to surprise our friend, Jodi for her birthday.  We spent Saturday at Mt. Bachelor skiing.  Allison took an all day lesson while Mark & I skied.  Allison enjoyed her day on the slopes and we were proud of her for doing it!  We're hoping to get her out one more time but we'll see if the spring weather cooperates!

The weather was a bit crazy - at one point I saw this rainbow and had to take a picture.
And i took this picture for Allison, she wanted a picture of the mountain where she went skiing.  (She actually took one with her pretend phone and tried to e-mail it to me and post it to Facebook - Mark says I have no one to blame but myself!).

Almost Spring

Spring weather is starting to make an appearance around here.  Which is wonderful because a certain 1-year-old needs to be well entertained in the afternoons.  Here are some snapshots of our afternoon.

Happy Kroon Day 2014!!

From our family to yours!  The girls enjoyed some Hostess Donettes, one in the morning and one after dinner.  Heidi loved them (don't mess with this girl and her donuts!) and Allison mentioned them as the highlight of her day.  Allison loved celebrating Kroon Day this year and liked hearing my reporting of all the text messages of the day.  I also took things a step further this year, I ordered the girls a new Lego set to share - Legos are a very Kroon thing, I think!  (Cason & Ella got some new Legos from us, too!).  We are thankful to have simple things to celebrate like donuts, Legos and family.

Go Beavs!

Allison got to go to TWO Beaver Women's Basketball games this weekend!  They won both games and finished the season tied for second in the Pac12.  We find that kind of thing pretty exciting around here.  On Sunday Heidi & I got to go to the game, too, along with the girls' buddies Annie & Clara.  We're definitely looking forward to next year....in the meantime we're hoping the weather warms up so we go to some baseball & softball games soon.

A Week in Snapshots

I definitely missed my little family while I was in Hawaii - so we made the most of the last week and I captured quite a few snapshots on my phone of our activities - it was great to be back!

Row 1: Allison and her Hawaii souvenir from Grammy!; Allison & her buddy Wyatt at his birthday party (they've been in preschool together since they were one!); Heidi ended up wearing some lentils when I fed her lentil soup for dinner.
Row 2:  Heidi loving her Pho and Allison eating a fresh salad at our favorite Friday night dinner joint; Allison teaching Heidi & I about Porter Michael after his announcement came in the mail.
Row 3: Jodi & I took the girls to see 'The Fiddler on the Roof' this weekend; Heidi LOVES getting into the pantry; Allison made herself a pizza lunch while I was taking a shower on Saturday (someday this will be real!).

If you click on the collage you should be able to view it larger; I've recently found some free PhotoShop collage templates I'm using - this should make it easier to make our blog photo book at the end of the year so I'll be doing it more often.

Almost Kroon Day

Well, seeing as tomorrow is March 3 it is Kroon Day!  The girls & I have some mini donuts we bought tonight for breakfast.  And I figured I should share some fun 'Kroon' pictures from our Hawaii trip that Brittney sent me.  The Kroon ladies above.  And below - Mom, Britt & I jumping.  Or trying to (Mom had a hip replacement in December so she wasn't really supposed to be jumping :).
