First Ballet Class

Every time Heidi saw Allison in her ballet clothes last year she said she wanted to do ballet.  I kept telling her 'next year' and she was quite good at repeating 'I do ballet next year!'  Well, next year is finally here.  She is doing the 'princess dance' class through our local Parks & Rec since she isn't quite old enough for real ballet.  She was by far the youngest there this morning but she did a great job listening and trying everything.  And she was just plain CUTE, too.  She wore Allison's recital tutu from last year.  She was quite the serious little ballerina today and loved every bit of it!

 Her first curtsy.
Watching the other 1/2 of the class.

Yurt Camping 2015

We continued our tradition of yurt camping at Beverly Beach the weekend after Labor Day.  These girls had a great time playing together all weekend long.  They entertained themselves very well with coloring, drawing, playing outside and practicing their dance moves.

We had several trips to the playground.  This year we had yurts that were really close to the playground and the arrangement worked really well for everyone!

Mr. Nate took us down a wrong turn on our bikes....ended up being more of an adventure than we expected.  Mark is capable of turning his bike and the Chariot around (with Heidi inside!) on a narrow little single track it turns out :).
She kills me.  She kills everyone.  She gets away with sooooo much because of that cute little face!

We took one trip to the beach for the girls to get nice and wet and sandy!  Heidi was so excited to go to the beach.  The entire first morning she kept announcing 'I go to the beach!' whenever we tried to do anything.

Logan & Lauren made it in time to play at the beach!

Eating lunch on the big concrete barrier.

Heidi & Lauren both had fun on their strider bikes.  Hence Heidi coming home and deciding she was done with the stroller :)

The girls put on a 'show' for us.  Allison did a play with some girls she met there.  Bekah came out and did a dance with the little girls.  And they all bowed at the end, of course!

Heidi has taken to putting her hands on her hips.  Cracks me up.

Of course we had to stop and see the Sea Lions on our way back home.  Every time we stop in there are more.  And they are louder.  And stinkier.  Thankfully the coffee shop we stopped in is upwind of them :)

Already looking forward to next year!

Done with the Stroller

After spending a weekend camping (and riding her bike around) Heidi refused to climb into the stroller this evening for our walk.  She was going to ride her bike and there was absolutely no convincing her otherwise.  And she was going to do it herself.  Including crossing the bridge.  Funny that her sister still insisted on help!  Gotta love her determination!  And gorgeous fall evenings!

Labor Day Hike

Jodi & I took the girls for a hike in Peavey today while the guys were hiking...they had a great time using their walking sticks.  And heidi even hiked quite a bit!

(and she enjoyed her chocolate snack a little, too much!)

Allison & Bekah enjoyed climbing on these logs, until Allison fell from the bottom one.  Thankfully she recovered well.

Heidi loved 'helping' Bekah walk the logs :)
